Are you that person? While this role is flexible in terms of working from home or remotely, you will be required to be able to commute to Leixlip, Kildare for meetings as required.  We offer a competitive salary and benefits. 

You will be required to:

  • Manage cloud servers, user administration, security configuration, server maintenance and patching, provisioning new servers
  • Administer system security on operating systems, applications, network security devices, and websites.
  • Monitor vulnerability and other security scan results to ensure that systems are protected from known and potential threats and are free from known vulnerabilities. Server monitoring. Responding to security and operating system alerts
  • Configure and manage endpoint protection systems. Assist with patching endpoints and servers.
  • Proactive security monitoring and evaluation, research and recommendation of ongoing improvements and enhancements for customer platforms and internal systems.
  • Respond to and, where appropriate, resolve or escalate reported security incidents
  • Monitor system log and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret such activity and make recommendations for resolution
  • Application performance monitoring, addressing application issues including availability uptimes etc
  • Administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights for all systems
  • Complete and report on daily/monthly/annual system checks to ensure compliance with company IT Standards
  • Ensure all new staff complete their security awareness and GDPR training
  • Strong teamwork with IT colleagues to resolve problems

What you will bring to the role

Education:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of cloud and network security experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, cybersecurity or equivalent work experience

Knowledge or Experience:

  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and associated network protocols and concepts
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management
  • Experience with penetration testing
  • Experience in certification applications for cyber security standards e.g. Cyber essentials plus, ISO 2007 etc. Familiarity with internal audits
  • Experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security procedures
  • Experience monitoring, security testing and systems analysis

Desirable

  • Some development experience, PhP, MySQL, Drupal, Javascript, HTML, CSS
  • Knowledge of MS systems e.g Sharepoint, Power Automate etc
